I know two versions of Steve Rogers and he fits the bill. He's not really a sneaking around kind. That's more what I do. Sure there's more of us, though. Most of them just want to keep people safe. Okay, so, first of all, let me preface this story by saying I'm okay and everything is fine.
I added a joke to my show at the Whalefall about the fae being too serious about everything and not able to take a joke. Because, you know. It's true.
After my show the other night, I was walking home and this fae appeared out of nowhere in the street and told me that I had insulted the Unseelie Court and that I needed to go with him.
You insulted the Unseelie. I didn't see that coming, actually. I mean, between you and me, they should be able to take a joke, but knowing what I know from legends...yeah. They're kinda serious.
( Sounds to him she does need someone to skulk around behind her at night. )
That offer is still open to follow you around and be menacing, you know.
Thats...unusual. I know guys who can do that kind of thing but I don't know if any of them are here. I keep to myself, as you know. Did you get a look at his face?
( If the guy was smart, he'd be masked, but Bucky and Steve have never cared about masks. )
I did, but it was half covered by a mask. Even his eyes, which was kind of strange. He told me his name was Daredevil.
To be honest, other than the way he could climb buildings like they were nothing, I didn't really see any superpowers. He was a good fighter, but he was a normal guy. No super strength or anything like that.
Daredevil. I don't know that I've heard of that one. I'm sure he does what I do, tries to keep people safe, but that's my optimism showing.
( Bucky doesn't have a lot of it these days but he wants to think that someone who went after the Unseelie is on Midge's side and not on someone else's. )
[ Midge's voice grows serious. ] He saved my life. That thing could have killed me, or at the very least he could have dragged me off to the Unseelie Court and none of you would have probably seen me again.
[ She brightens. ] Look at your optimism striking again.
You don't have to go out of your way, but if you find out anything? His suit was red and black leather with little horns on the top of his head.
I'll take a look. Seems like a stealthy guy but with a suit like that, he's not going to be blending in that much. I won't do anything to hurt him, though. You're right. He was trying to save you, not hurt you, so this is a curiosity and not a vigilante mission.
( Bucky is actually glad it's not a vigilante mission. It's hard to fight shadows and he should know - he's usually the shadow. )
